Better Pictures provides professional high quality scanning of slides and negatives to cd and dvd.
Slides and negatives can lose their colour or take on a pink or green colour cast over time. Negative and Slide scanning by Better Pictures includes colour correction to bring back the original colour.
Once your images are scanned we can create a DVD Slide Show of your images (so you can enjoy watching your images on television) or we can simply print your images as high quality photos.

Photo Slide Show on DVD
Slide and Negatives scanned (Ready to print) includes:
- Dust and loose dirt removed from your slides and negatives with compressed air.
- Your original slides and negatives are scanned at high resolution.
- Minor colour, exposure, and tonal corrections are made to your scans which ensures your photos are as near to the original as possible. Its surprising how many places do not provide basic tonal and colour correction when scanning slides and negatives.
- Your scanned negatives and slides are saved to cd in jpeg format (ready to print).

Photo Prints
After you slides and negatives have been scanned they can then be printed. Your slides and negatives are printed on high quality photographic papers. Standard print sizes include:
4 x 6” (10 x 15cm)

Since slides and negatives may not exactly fit the standard 4” x 6”, 5” x 7”, or 8” x 10” rectangle. We retain the original proportions of the image and centre on standard sized photographic papers. We can crop the image to fit a standard print size, if you request.

Thumbnail Index make finding photos easy!
Finding a specific image will be so much easier if you have a printed thumbnail index. The Thumbnail Index will show all of your images (at a thumbnail size) on your disc, along with their file names. Up to 20 photos are displayed per A4 page.
